Email addresses are not case sensitive
I don't think the email address field should be case sensitive since email addresses are not case sensitive. When using the password reset page it requires an exact case match.

Marcel, you brought a really old topic to life! For the soocial user names the email addresses are not case sensitive. It is easier that way.
