Gmail and Highrise "waiting for activation" for 16+ hours
Hi,
I registered a new Soocial account 16 hours ago, and setup connections to my mac, gmail and highrise. Mac sync is working well, however Gmail and Highrise have been "waiting for activation" since yesterday. I've browsed the forums and can see that other users had this issue previously. Is this something that will be resolved soon?

Inappropriate?I signed up 6 hours ago and have the same issues. My mobile synced without a problem, but Highrise and Gmail are also still waiting for activation.

This seems like a great and really useful tool. However I have one more issue - I created a contact in Highrise, and it synced to Soocial and my Mac under "Work". However it has not shown up in Gmail at all.
Marking an existing contact in Soocial as "Work" moves it to the work group in Gmail, however the highrise one doesn't seem to come through.
Any suggestions?

Don't know what your username is. But can it be that the contact that does not make it to Gmail has an e-mail address that already exists in Gmail? With the current API we are using Gmail only accepts every e-mail address once.

I think you are correct - the contact that was trying to sync back from Highrise already existed in Gmail (with much less information). However, should this not have just updated the Gmail contact with the extra info?
BTW this is a great service you guys are offering - I've used lots of sync software over the years, and Soocial seems to be the final answer for my contact syncing. Well done!

Yes probably. Our biggest fear is destroying contact info though! So we are soon releasing a feature in the webapp. that will suggest contacts for merging. You can then decide if you want a contact to be merged or if you want to keep them seperate.
I’m happy we can do merging in the webapp soon.
