Gmail Engine syncs only one contact
I added my Gmail account (actually, a Google Apps account for my own domain) and, after syncing, only one of my 200+ contacts shows up in Soocial. What do I do?

Inappropriate?Hi Michael,
I've found your Soocial.com account, and the Gmail account you are using only has 3 contacts. Only 1 of them shows up in Soocial because Soocial will only get contacts from Gmail if they either have a name or an organization defined as described here: http://getsatisfaction.com/soocial/to...
You say your Gmail account has 200+ contacts, do you happen to also have a regular Google account with the same email address? Sometimes this can happen if you had an email address as a gmail account before (say simon at soocial.com) and later switched to Google's Apps. It seems like in that scenario Google maintains two accounts for you, each with their own address book. It could be that Google internally has given us access to a different Gmail contacts list than what you were expecting.
I've had the exact same issue happen with my simon at soocial.com account and I fixed it by making sure I was logged out of all my Google accounts and then logging in with my Google Apps account and then setting up Soocial.com again.
I hope that explains your problem and hopefully fixes it too, let me know what else I can do for you.
The company and 1 other person say
this solves the problem

Inappropriate? Thanks for the reply, Simon. What you say makes sense, since the first time I got Google's "grant access to Soocial" page, I saw my email address listed twice, each with its own radio button, which was weird.
I'll give your suggestion of logging out of everything a shot.
Thanks again,
Michael
I’m cautiously optimistic

I have the same problem! Google ought to make it clear which account is which, although on the subsequent page, it gives a hint by the url (it will contain "/a/" if it is an apps domain). -
Inappropriate?So I:
1. logged out of my Google Apps account
2. removed the Gmail engine from Soocial
3. logged out of Soocial
4. closed Firefox
5. reopened Firefox
6. logged back into Soocial
7. added the Gmail engine again
8. when prompted, logged back into Google using my Google Apps account
Sadly, only 1 contact made it through again.
From what you said above, it looks like Google is not letting Soocial access my current GMail address book.
Any ideas on how to remedy this?
I’m frustrated
