Google Contact sync
Goolge has just released a software via Google sync to sync gmail contacts with Blackberry. I have just downloaded the software so I cannot report on it but if it is anything like the gcal sync then Soocial does not need to release the bb connection.

Thanks for that info. Just took it for a ride. Sweet app! We're close to releasing the Alpha version for our app. though. We like it when we don't have to sync through a third party. Makes it really hard to locate problems when they occur.
Our client will be sweet and simple and "hassle free." :-)

Inappropriate?Gmail to blackberry seems to work fairly well using Google sync. Then your service downloaded over 280 contacts from Gmail (that came from Blackberry and into Gmail). Your software shows in system preferences that 280 contacts were downloaded but they do not show up in my Address book. Where did they go. I think your Mac software on my machine it screwed up. It will update and now this. Should I un-install the software and reload it?
It tried to log onto Soocial.com but the site seems to be down.
I’m getting frustrated.

Inappropriate?Please, release your BB client because Google Sync has many problems like repeated addresses (some 7-8 times).

Inappropriate?I have had zero issues with Google sync for BB contacts since I installed it. It just works.

Inappropriate?beans, maybe because you only sync BB & Gmail not also with Mac or Outlook, or maybe contacts without addresses.

Actually, I sync Mac Address book to Gmail, the main reason for me to use Soocail. I would have used the BB sync as well...but that was before Gmail sync came out. I use the Gmail sync to sync my blackberry to Gmail contacts. I don't want to rain on Soocial's parade but the Gmail sync, for me at least, just works. -

If you sync BB -> Gmail -> Mac Address Book, every field of addresses are right?
For my this combo does not work, fields on Mac are wrong (maybe city instead of country, etc)

Until now, I had not noticed the address being messed up. I have looked at a few and you are right the order in which the City, Street Address etc. appear to be messed up. I don't print envelopes from address book so I had not paid attention to this. Ouch. This could be a lot of work or I will monitor this and delete all contacts in MAC and then re-sync. I am always afraid that all of the addresses in Gmail might then get wiped out. Yes, I will back up! -

After Carblanco's response we found out that the Blackberry treats the addresses different than Soocial does. in combination with the very simple way Gmail handles the fields, it causes the Address fields to shift.
We know about it and either need to fix this, but our own Blackberry client will really solve it. It is being made as we speak. -
Inappropriate?when u have companys in your bb with no name attached the google sync app wil duplicate them every time it syncs. lets hope your client does a better job :)
