Groups
It would be great if Soocial had groups (or tags) which synced with Google and Addressbook groups. Even better if I could restrict syncing by group, so I could sync work contacts to my Google apps account, and personal contacts to my gmail.

Inappropriate?We're working on it and it sure will be great. :-)
The trick is to devise a good interface that's transparent so everyone will understand what will happen if a sync starts. It's harder than we thought, mainly because of connections to a shared account (like Highrise).

With the latest version of Soocial (see http://blog.soocial.com/2008/8/28/sam...) we now sync all groups in Address book to GMail.
Filtering contact syncing on these groups is something we're still working on, this is a small step in that direction.

What do you mean with "some groups are unassigned after a sync"? Could you elaborate?
Just to clarify, if there are groups defined in OS X Address book we will create them in GMail, empty groups in GMail will not be removed automatically.

All my contacts are with a group in gmail (i like to be organized :) )
After a sync some of them lose their group ...
