highrise not syncing
Highrise sync didn't work, it's still stuck at "will take place in a few hours" SSL is off, everything is setup correctly.

Ah come on. Give the guys @ Soocial a break. Probably it is a severe problem. I can only imagine how complicated a sync with Highrise could be. It's not exporting data, it's matching and then importen or exporting all the stuff. Besides that, it's still a free service they're providing.
They've done a very good job on their support towards me. And yes, the sync messed my Highrise account up. But that's only a part of the service. Everything else (Gmail, Mac etc) works.
To round up, it's Beta. :-) -
Inappropriate?Need any help from a coder with resolving the issue? It does seem this project is an unpaid one atm, so understandably the fixes may come a bit slower. :)

Inappropriate?Bob. You are right. The guys deserve a break. However If this is hobby for them they should not release it to the general public. I was under the impression that they were a legitimate company. I have since removed my data and my account. Regretfully I will be returning to salesforce because I need the sync piece to work. I blame highrise. Best of luck soocial.

Inappropriate?Soocial's sync with Highrise has currently been shutdown by 37signals. We are working with them to resolve the issue and hope to be able to resume syncing again soon.

Inappropriate?So, what happened and where are we at?
A few weeks ago, a bug in the way Soocial syncs with Highrise got laid bare. There was an unexpected side effect where cases attached to contacts in Highrise were removed after updating that contact. We resolved this bug within a day, however we are still switched off by 37signals.
Right now the issue is that because Highrise was not built to handle a service like Soocial they are having trouble handling the load syncing. -
Inappropriate?Also just to clarify - Soocial is a company not just hobby. Even though we do love working on gettings things syncing flawlessly. Most of our work happens behind the scenes and we try to not make you guys jump through all sorts of hoops that we need to in order to provide a reliable syncing solution.
We are trying to get the syncing with Highrise back online however in this case we are dependent on 37signals. They have been courteous regarding this issue but we are still talking with them in getting the sync switched back on. If you want you can contact them regarding the issue as well. Please be polite though. ;-)
We'll keep you updated as soon as we do have it back online and we apologize deeply for the inconvenience caused by this. -
Inappropriate?I apologize for being disrespectful. At the time I made my hobby comment this issue had existed for more than 3 weeks with little or no update. That amount of time seemed excessive for a company with full time employees. I am sorry to hear that 37 signals has not been more responsive to your needs. I appreciate all of your efforts. Cannot believe they have not came up with a way to integrate better with Outlook. Macs are great but, wake up 37signals, the majority of the business world still uses Outlook -
