You can configure your phone to sync with Soocial by doing the following:
Select Menu > Settings > Configuration and then the following option.
Personal config.sett. – to add a new personal account select Add; otherwise, select Options > Add new. Select the service type, and select and enter each of the required parameters.
* Server version: 1.1
* Host address: http://sync.soocial.com
* Data bearer: Internet
* Port: 80
* Username: your Soocial username
* Password: your Soocial password
* Access point: (Pick an existing working internet access point)
* Contacts Database: Contacts (no username or password required)
To delete or activate a personal account, scroll to it, and select Options > Delete or Activate.

Inappropriate?I have the Nokia 6500 Slide and I'm located in Sweden. I tried configuring my phone as per Philip's instructions but still can't get it to work. All I get is an error message saying that no data could be transfered when I try to perform a sync.
Also, I didn't find the "Server version", "Data bearer" and "Port" options in the configuration settings.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hey dlandin,
Sorry that doesn't work for you. What you can try is to go to the connections page. Pick your phone and any country. Add your own phonenumber in the international notation. Changes are that things will work. Offcourse only if your phone allows for those settings to be changed. If your phone was provided by by your phone company changes are that these settings are locked.
Please let us know what you find. -
Inappropriate?Thanks, Bart. I tried it and it didn't work, though. It seems I'm stuck in a corner and will have to find some other way of synching my contacts.

Sorry Dan,
It is not clear to me what didn't work. Do you receive the messages? Did they not provide you with the right settings? -
Inappropriate?Yes, I get a message saying "Data transfer not possible. Check data connection". So I'm kind of lost.

Inappropriate?Dan, do you have internet access set up on your phone?
-
Inappropriate?Yep, I do. At least I assume I do, since I can surf the net with it :)
-
Inappropriate?I have asked around here Dan, we are afraid your provider has locked the settings to their network.
Did you ever manage to receive a settings message through our website? That seems to be the only way to set things up for your phone.
If that doesn't work either we are afraid syncing with Soocial s not going to work with your phone on your network......
I’m sad
