iPhone Contacts Not Being Updated (using Synthesis SyncML)
Hello and thank you for a wonderful service! I am slowly working in my 4 sync points, but am having trouble at iPhone + Gmail. I added my iPhone contacts first (the vast majority are on phone). Sync went fine, all contacts synced. I edited a few on the phone and a few on Soocial.com, and all changes synced great to both. Then I added my Gmail account, and in Soocial.com, the extra contacts show up as they should. Unfortunately, when I go back into the iPhone sync program (Synthesis SyncML) and run a sync, nothing is updated and I do not get the newest 7 contacts. I understand that this could be a problem with Synthesis (e.g. not under your control), and have also tried Funambol's iPhone SyncML client, but that one couldn't connect to soocial's servers. Synthesis is giving no errors but shows 'local data unmodified'. Modifying a contact on soocial.com also does not get synced back to the iPhone any more. Modifying a contact on the iPhone still gets sent to soocial, and during that particular sync Synthesis listed 18 contacts to 'receive' (about the number that Gmail had to begin with) but then it just ended instead of actually downloading the new contacts.

I think I know what is going on. Could it be that some of your contacts have photo's in them that originate from the Iphone? At the moment that is a know issue. Could you send us a mail with your user name to support (at soocial dot com)? -
Inappropriate?Thanks Bart, I have sent the email. I'm really hoping this is not the issue because I would not like to delete any of my contact's pictures. I can tell you that in the original sync, all of my contacts pictures synced just fine, and are viewable on soocial.com. Could it still be causing a problem in subsequent syncs?
If you'd like, I can try and get the Synthesis logs off of my iPhone via SSH.

Inappropriate?Well, that is what the problem is. Receiving pictures works absolutely fine. That is why you did not have any problems on the initial sync. But when Soocial wants to send the contacts with the pictures back to the Iphone the sync stops sending contacts. We will fix this soon. The only way to get the Iphone back to syncing now it for us to remove the pics.

Inappropriate?At this point, it won't work if you have pictures with your contacts. But we hope to have this solved soon.
