Soocial deletes groups after member removed from Google "My Contacts"
After removing contacts from "My Contacts" group in Google, next sync results in those contacts losing all other group associations.
I had a group called "old" which I did NOT want to be part of "My Contacts". I removed all those contacts from "My Contacts." After the next sync, the "old" group was GONE, and the contacts appearred only in "All Contacts".
I don't think Soocial should be deleting groups on me.

The issue that this thread was started for is solved. When a contact gets moved away from "my contacts" it does get deleted from Soocial, but the groups will not be removed from the contact in Gmail.
Thanks for reporting this ze'ev!

Inappropriate?Further, after doing this, I can no longer sync to my Mac!
I get an error:
"Error sending Message Two / Receiving Message Three. Aborting Sync."
I even tried a force update.
I then tried deleting all contacts from Mac, and deleting connection.
Busted.

Inappropriate?Hey Ze'ev,
About the groups being deleted from the contacts when the contacts are move out of the "My Contacts" group. We see you have laid bare a bug here. We need to spend some time on this to fix it.
We will let you know when it is done. Really sorry about it. Thanks for letting us know.
For looking in to the other issue, we need you username. Can you please send it to support (at soocial dot com)? -
Inappropriate?Found your account.
We have an issue that we are working on right now where user with a lot of contacts have problems sync because the client times out before the server can give a response. We will be able to fix this very soon.
The sync will not start working until this issue is solved. The only way to get your OSX back to syncing, is when Soocial is empty and OSX has the contacts. You can download them all from the import/export tab on https://www.soocial.com/tools
Off course you would then have to disconnect Gmail first and add it again after the contacts have been sent from OSX to Soocial. -
Yes, but I already did this. The first sync after clearing Soocial uploads all contacts to Soocial, but then any sync attempt after that fails.
So I guess I'll wait until you figure it out. Thanks. -
Not to be a nag ... but do you have any idea how long before this issue is resolved? thanks -
Uploading a vcf is not working. I can choose the file, but it does not upload.
Any progress on the server timeout issue?
thanks -

Inappropriate?I tried syncing Mac to Google. Failed. So I reset everything: deleted all google contacts, reset soocial, reset sync points on Mac.
Then added ONLY Mac connection, and synced. 1800+ contacts uploaded to soocial.
Then I added Google. Sync took an hour. Afterwards, there were only 822 contacts on soocial and Google! When i tried to sync to Mac, got warning that this would DELETE 1000 contacts on Mac.
HELP!

So now soocial syncs ONLY the 'My Contacts' group from Android?!?
That's terrible! That's the same limited functionality as the sync that's built-in to Address Book! -
Sorry, I meant from Gmail.
