The phone shows me Sync failed... -

Inappropriate?I get a "data transfer not possible" error when attempting to sync a Nokia 1680 with the settings specified (and "./contacts" for the Contacts folder). Could you help me get it working?

Do you have the option to change the server version? It needs to be 1.1 to be able to sync with Soocial. Your phone might have it set to 1.2

Thanks for the reply. I tried almost all suggestions in the other thread, no luck.
The phone seems to default to 1.2, there is no option for the protocol version anywhere in the configuration menus. The Google SyncML solution works fine with my phone. -
I am afraid, that is what the issue is. We will update our servers to do 1.2 in the near future but we can give you a time on that. -

Ik ben bezig met poging 5 om mijn Nokia 6300 te laten werken met soocial, en het is bepaald niet makkelijk.
Wat heb ik tot nu toe gedaan?
* account aangemaakt op mijn mobiel. Dat heb ik gedaan via
- menu > instellingen > configuratie > pers. config. instellingen
- daar heb ik gekozen voor 'voeg nieuwe toe'
- dan heb je keuze uit een heleboel verschillende soorten toepassingstypen.
- ik heb gekozen voor 'synchronisatie'
- daar vulde ik in (1) accountnaam = Soocial (2) serveradres = http://sync.soocial.com
(3 en 4) mijn gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord.
- Dan staat er nog 'database contacten', 'database agenda', 'database notities' en 'voorkeurstoeg. gebr.' Wat ik hier in moet vullen is mij niet duidelijk.
Tot zover het instellen van het account. Hoe nu gaan synchroniseren? Ik heb dat (denk ik) gevonden via:
menu > contacten > alles synchroniseren
Dan krijg ik de melding: 'gelecteerde instellingen ongeldig voor synchronisatie'
Grag hulp hierbij, want ik kom niet verder. -

We have a 6300 here too. It seems like the ones with the latest S40 update don't sync with Soocial at the moment. They want to do Syncml 1.2 and Soocial only supports 1.1
The 6300 does not allow for this to be chagend.
Supporting 1.2 is high on our list, but there are some other pressing issues that might have to go first. -

Thanks, not sure if version 1.2 is your issue. We have a 6300 with v 07.21 of the software and it does sync with Soocial. I am a bit unsure now. If you like we could do a quick test. if you agree, please send us a mail support (at soocial dot com) -

Maby my software is insufficient... I was looking to update but I need a datacable and I don't have it. -

I got upgraded to 7.21 still got the same error as before no data connection possible. -
Inappropriate?That is what I thought Philippe, the issue s not syncml 1.2. I think your phone is not properly set up. We are working on making screenshot instructions for phones. We are not quite ready to put them online yet, but I will send you a pdf.

Thx, for all the help, I have set it up just the way you specified in the pdf, still get the same error no data connection possible... I'll try googling it

It is hard to know what exact settings you need now. Make sure your preferred access point is properly set. Your provider might be able to give you more info on the correct settings for that. Sorry we can't help you there.
