Multiple dupes with 20 or so wrong email addresses
Multiple duplicates, all with 23 or so merged email address. Don't know where to start!
Picture attached is of my Address Book on Mac OS X, but contacts look like this all over, Google Contact, etc.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I did spend a few hours looking at your logs. Really wanted to find out if we missed a big bug.
Could it be that you have some other program hooked up to your OSX Address Book? Seems like something on your end is mixing up your contacts. Your Address Book keeps sending updated and new contacts that seem to be a random accumulation of existing e-mail addresses.
Does this ring a bell? I am really curious if you have any idea what software could be causing this? -

Although, in my preferences inside 'Address Book' is no longer showing the Google option for syncing. I know I enabled that hack and had a hell of a time with it messing with my Google contacts, I lost all of my chat contacts and had to invite them all back.
Ironically, this is why I was wary to try Soocial, it looks like my ghosts have come to haunt me!
Is there a way to go back to some snap shot, or are the contacts on the server (yours) fried now too?

Inappropriate?Here some more insight. I just was able to recreate similar behavior. I hooked up Entourage to the OSX Address Book. This seems to have caused a merging of two contacts with just e-mail addresses and no name.
Is there a useful set of contacts in the automatic backups that we make? https://www.soocial.com/tools Like when you connected Soocial to Gmail for the first time? -
Inappropriate?I have the same issue - I now have 10,000 contacts being sync'd back and forth to my iphone; my Mac can handle it but the iphone can't.
I am hoping I can find something to 1) clean down the bad entries 2) show the occassions and trace when it is messing up.
I figure someone could write some applescript to perform cleanup. I found http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthr... but that's not qute right.
I know I have Plaxo installed - how do I find the full list of applications that are hooked into Address Book and how do I disable them?
With the explosion of social networking applications we can expect this issue to become increasingly prevalent.
[EDIT:] I don't have Soocial installed - I only just realised the context of this thread. I think the issue needs escalating to Apple.
