No go on Outlook 2007 with XP SP3

i'm running Outlook 2007 and XP SP3. Installed the Soocial client for Outlook, and it seemed to install OK. However, on first use it starts to sync, doesn't quite get done [about 2/3 of my contacts seemed to arrive at the Soocial website, but not the rest] .... then, the soocial plug-in just hangs .... no advancement on green bar after about 20 minutes. I finally stopped it; de-installed the plug-in, then re-installed it. Cleaned all contacts out of Soocial site, re-booted etc etc.

I am running Google calendar sync 0.9.3.5, but this only affects calendar items and goes directly to Gmail. it doesn't touch contacts.

Did the whole thing again. Same results. Do you guys have bugs in this configuration, or am i doing something wrong?
