Inappropriate?Hi Bob and thanks for the idea.
First of all let me clear something up, Soocial does actually support those fields in the background - but we currently don't have edit fields for custom fields. That means that information will get synced to other devices - but you won't see that info in our webapp.
We are currently working on a new version of our contact editor, we'll be supporting a whole bunch of new fields. I can't commit to a timeline yet - but rest assured we are doing everything we can.
I’m glad to be working on our next version

Inappropriate?Any news yet about when custom fields will be fully supported? It also seems there are some remaining problems even with the currently editable fields. For example, it seems Soocial imported my Address Book contacts with all phone numbers categorized as 'other' even though they are listed as 'mobile' in my Mac Address Book. As part of the next sync, it is now trying to change the contacts on my Mac to 'other' as well. Any idea what could be going on here?

Inappropriate?it is actually amazing that custom fields were not available from the start on address book. I expect more from apple, and quite dissappointed. I don't use the address book for much, if I could create custom fields, it would probably be one of my most important applications.
