Outlook 2007 Hangs at Login, will not sync

Without posting screenshots (since you all know what the tool looks like) Here's what happens:

I open Outlook 2007 normally, open Soocial's preferences window, click Login, type in my information and press Login. The window then completely hangs. The parent window (the main preferences screen) then whites out.

My user name and name as registered with the site is all lower case, so I don't think that's the issue.

System Spec:

Outlook 2007
XP Service Pack 3
Latest version of Soocial Outlook Add In
