Outlook sync creates many, many blank records in Outlook (not in Soocial)
I'm using Soocial between my Outlook and Gmail contacts. Soocial and Gmail works very nice now (love the separated address information!), but for some reason I get about 200 blank contacts records in Outlook after a sync. These records don't live in Soocial. Seems like all the newly added contacts are saved as blank cards in Outlook only. But now I can't see about 50% of my contacts on my phone, as this E71 is connected to Exchange as well. :(
Don't think that record I delete in Soocial are also deleted in Outlook. What do I need to do? The Outlook plugin does not seem te work at all?

Inappropriate?Dan,
Really sorry about that. We want to investigate. Can't find your user name. Can you send it to support (at soocial dot com) -
Found your account. I am looking in to it. -
Inappropriate?Just realized Dan,
My alarm should have gone off earlier. We do not have great experiences with Exchange. The combination between Soocial and Exchange is not a very happy one. Multiplication seem to be the keyword there.
The problem with the E71 could be solved very easily with syncing it directly to Soocial. But Outlook being the middle man between Soocial and exchange is a recipe for disaster. Really hate to disappoint you since you just got back in to it.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? That's too bad to hear, especially now that Plaxo has decided to charge their customers and almost all coworkers are using this plugin. And now everybody wants to run away from it and have no sync anymore.
This is the second time I'm trying Soocial; but I can remember that the plugin and sync went very well in the past?
Furthermore, I'm syncing to my Outlook client (plugin installed) and not to the exchange server directly. My Outlook then afterwards syncs to the server. Shouldn't be much of a difference, is what I think?
Really, really too bad. I would love to help you guys out fix this problem for many other customers too.
I’m flabbergasted

Inappropriate? This sounds like a similar setup to the one I tried about a month ago - E71 with 'Mail for Exchange' and Outlook client both syncing with an Exchange server.
I have tried both syncing Outlook (on Exchange) with the Soocial plugin client with Soocial, which did not work very well. There is a new plugin in the works, due for release any day according to the support. Maybe that works better.
I then tried using the built in phone support for SyncML, syncing (only) the phone with Soocial. The phone would sync with Exchange using MfE. No sync between Soocial and Outlook/Exchange directly. This would work a few times, but then the sync started to get interrupted, giving messages that the sever respond with an error.
I have - for now - given up with the Outlook-integration, as the contacts where getting messed up, duplicated and some missing. I just may try it out once the new plugin is released, provided that an Outlook/Exchange-setup is supported.
In my opinion Plaxo lost focus of the core features (i.e. sync and up-to-date contact details) a long time ago.
The concept of Soocial is great, so I am certainly also willing to assist to improve the solution. -
Inappropriate? In addition, Soocial is now creating multiple duplicate entries. I use a Corporate Exchange server for work email, and Gmail for my personal. Having my contacts synced between Gmail, Exchange and iPhone is brilliant... I REALLY REALLY want this to work.
I’m very disappointed.

Inappropriate?Hey G. Richard Bellamy,
we do see that behavior for some users that have Exchange involved. We do not have a solution at this point, but are looking in to it.
