Phone sync of merged contacts seems to be broken

Let me describe the scenario first. I manage all my contact information in Gmail Contacts Manager. Imagine I got this 2 contacts:
Bob (with e-mail address)
Bobby (with phone number)
It's the same person, so I want to merge it. I copy the phone number from Bobby to Bob and delete the Bobby instance. Now, let's wait for the sync to Soocial and after that, let's sync my phone (Nokia N80). Everything looks fine in Soocial contacts manager. Bob has both e-mail and phone and Bobby got deleted. The problem is with the phone. Bobby got deleted from my phone, but Bob only has the e-mail address listed. It looks like the phone sync didn't notice the change in some of Bob's attributes.
