Soocial sync does not work with Outlook 2007 on win XP? why?

I just installed the social client for Windows XP and setup to sync the outlook 2007 contact info.
When I right click the icon on the system tray it goes through the motion of all the 6 steps without any errors. However the last synced never changes from never to some actual timestamp. Is this a known bug?
I have logged in to the website and the status from this connection also shows never synced.
Any idea why? Appreciate your help.

The logs are located on our servers.
It seems that the client has troubles being able to read or write from your outlook contacts.
-Do you have any special settings for your Outlook?
-Any other plug-ins installed for Outlook?
-Anything else that you can think of that is different than standard
outlook install? -

No. I do not have any special settings for outlook.
I have installed Xobni plugin. I have uninstalled it. Still the same problem.
I am stumped. I did not use any special settings or anything during install that I can think of.
I can view the contact info under the contacts tab of outlook 07 fine.
I have installed google desktop and microsoft windows search.
Any pointers to debug this is highly appreciated. Is there a way we can enable some trace to find whats causing this failure?

Sarry Muldri, we will have to make our client better to find out what is going wrong on your side. At this point we don't know why it is not working. -
