Sync companies in Highrise
Hi there,
after having established a connection between Soocial and Highrise, I was wondering if Soocial is planning to sync company data as well. I'm using companies in Highrise quite extensively. Some of my contacts have no personal data but are only associated to a company, so in Soocial they would only show up as an almost empty contact.
Any plans on getting company data from Highrise into Soocial, guys?

True, we've given the issue some thought but I'm not really sure how to tackle this problem yet. A single contact in Soocial can result in two "entities" in Highrise, the person itself and the company that person is registered with. As a result, changes of both the person and the company in Highrise have to be synced back to a single contact in Soocial. This hasn't been solved yet and it is something we're still working on.

you're right, this seems in fact difficult.
What about just syncing companies as if they were normal contacts, then adding a tag to their name (like "Soocial [company]" and adding a note to the corresponding person as well (like "Company: Soocial")?
Other, nicer-looking option would be: You'll flag companies with icons, in a similar way as you already flag "work" contacts (which are synced to Highrise). On the person's contact page one can then choose from a drop-down menu between all existing companies.
Seems like a bit of a workaround (and certainly a PITA to program), but I'm afraid there are no real other possibilities because Highrise's contact management really differs from Soocial's...
