Sync problem with Japanese characters

I am starting to use social-Gmail sync service in Japanese environment and met a problem in sync of contact with Japanese characters.

After importing contacts in Social, I tried to sync it with Gmail.
For the contact with english name , it works well and the contact is created also in Gmail as it is in social.
For contact with Japanese characters, i got problem ,,

---Character ';' apeared in Gmail contact.

For example,
when given name is 'aaa' and family name is 'bbb', Gmail contact is created as aaa;bbb;;;

Have anyone met same issue and any workaround available.
