Inappropriate?Hey Guh,
What would you expect from a sync with Facebook? Seems like the API does not give access to phone numbers and e-mail addresses. We could probably retrieve pictures for you Soocial contacts.

My phone allows pictures to be added to contacts - I normally don't use that feature (I guess my girfriend is the only person in my list with a foto) - but I would use it if there was a way to turn it auto!
I could imagine something like - if phone as a picture then it would be uploaded to Soocial, if no, try to retrieve it from Facebook.
What does the Facebook API let you retrieve then? Friends names? Nicknames?

I use fonebook as a desktop facebook to outlook sync client, but would much prefer. It syncs birthday, picture, home address
The advantage of using facebook instead of gmail, outlook etc. is that the end user is control of the data (aka Plaxo) so it is more likely to be correct, than an out of date address book.
I have had problems in outlook in the past when changing between the UK and US time zones, and birthdays have swapped day and months (i.e. 4th May becomes 5th April), which can be embarrassing when you depend on your address book/calendar for this information.
Obviously it can also be abused, by friends putting in fake addresses and birthdates, so an override from other sources would be a nice to have. -
Inappropriate?the palm pre pulls in e-mails and phone numbers from facebook just fine and dandy... if they have some sort of dealio direct with facebook... maybe you could reverse engineer or sync with webos and pull in facebook info that way.
