Sorry this isn't solved yet.
This will get your Address Book in to sync:
1. In the Soocial PrefPane turn Sync OFF
2. Select all your contacts in the OSX Address Book, drag them to your desktop. You will have a copy of all your Address Book contacts now on your desktop.
3. Delete all your contacts from the Address Book
4. In the Soocial PrefPane turn Sync ON
5. Hit the "Sync now" button in the Soocial PrefPAne.
Keep hitting the "Sync now" button until all your Soocial contacts made it to the Address Book
6. Now drag the contacts you saved on your desktop back to the Address Book. There might be duplicates but your Address Book will merge them.
7. The Soocial client will start syncing now and bring all your contacts in to sync.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem here - any idea on what it can be?
-
Inappropriate?Guys,
Haven't seen that behavior. Might be fixed by the next version of the OSX client. We plan to release that within the next days. We will keep you posted. -
Inappropriate?Quick question. What OSX version are you using? 10.4 or 10.5
-
Inappropriate?I'm using OS 10.5.
-
Inappropriate?I'm unfortunately still seeing the same problem happening at this moment. Any indication on what's causing it / when it will be fixed?
-
Sorry Maarten,
We have not found the source of this error yet. We'll have to investigate. -
Inappropriate?Too bad :-( but tnx for the update!
-
Inappropriate?Any progress yet?
-
Inappropriate?Surely there's some indication of what's causing the problem. Are you able to reproduce it? Isn't there a clue in the error message that's coming from the Soocial client? When do you expect a new release of the Mac client?

Inappropriate?Hi Bernard,
we are looking into this issue. ETA is one week.
We currently advise you to either use the work-around or to switch OS X synchronization 'OFF' (in the Soocial pref pane under 'System Preferences') if you are experiencing this problem.
We're sorry for the hassle, rest assured we'll get to the bottom of this. Thanks for working with us to fix these issues!

Inappropriate?Unfortunately it's still not working for me. I'm using 1.0b27 v4555. Although the error is now not displaying in the prefPane anymore, it's still in the logs that tehre are the same errors:

Inappropriate?Hey guys,
If you still have this problem, you can really help us by turning verbose loging on and send it to our support e-mail address.
http://getsatisfaction.com/soocial/to...
We have our Mac guy ready to get to the bottom of this, but he needs those logs.
Thanks in advance. -
Inappropriate?Okay, Mac guy is working on this.
In the mean time, there is a less hefty quick fix, that should bring your OSX in a syncing state again.
For this you have to start up iSync. (it will take a bit before it is available because it initiates a sync with Soocial.)
- Go to preferences
- Hit the "Reset Sync History..." button
Now syncing with Soocial should finish fine.
!Warning! No idea how this affects other syncing solutions that are connected to you MAC. Do this at your own risk! -
Inappropriate?Unfortunately iSync doesn't give me the option of resetting the history. So that doesn't work. I realized that I have Missing Sync running as well to sync with my Palm. I didn't think that would conflict... maybe so?
-
Inappropriate? This problem persists for me. I tried resetting iSync history, to no avail. I then downloaded the latest version of Soocial to my Mac, restarted, and tried again. Now I don't get that error message but when the sync finishes the bottom of the window continues to say "Never synced yet" and nothing has happened.
-
Mark, Soocial are working on troubleshooting this problem for me. I reported here: http://gsfn.us/t/36g5 -
Inappropriate?Sorry this isn't solved yet.

I tried this and it seems to work. However, I was not able to drag my contacts from Address Book to my desktop. Not a problem for me though as I knew I had all my contacts in GMail. It was just the syncing that was broken. -

To get it:

Inappropriate? In my case the initial sync didn't work. So I tried to solve the problem like it's descriped in this thread. Now it works. But only 24 of my 600 Mac Adressbook contacts appear at my soocial account. If i try once more there are 24 contacts and 24 duplicates ...
Thank you for your help!

Inappropriate?Andreas,
You have a different issue. will send you a mail about it. I am going to bury this topic. The fix you tried is for a completely different issue that has been resolved long time ago by a new version of the client. To make sure people do not get confused I will remove this topic right now.
