Syncing To Nokia E71. What A Disaster
So. Just got a new Nokia E71 and it has been a complete disaster to sync it. The set up was okay, but once I got to syncing my contacts it was problem after problem.
First, it received 8 contacts and died, then it sent the 8, creating about 5 duplicates and it died receiving 10 contacts. I merged the dup's in the Soocial interface, then my phone sent 15, and received 25 and died again.
My phone keeps sending all the contacts (I suspect because it has never completed a full sync). Then it keeps receiving more and more. Last time it says it received 150 contacts, but I only have 114 (82 without the dup's it created). When I check my phone memory it is at 67.
I went through my notes and tried to delete out all the multiple notes and funny characters. I don't know if that helped or not. I have also noticed that when it merges some of the e-mails turn to craziness.
Soocial is so inconsistent that it is very frustrating. I would be happy to help more if I could, but it seems the core functionality rarely works well, while new features are coming and they don't seem to work well either.

Really sorry about this. After the update, we noticed the notes acting up. We are giving this issue the highest priority. Id did catch us by surprise.

We found the bug. Turns out, one of our servers was not restarted after the code update we did. So it was running old code.
If you try again it should work. Carefull though! you might have dupes on Soocial. The will make it to your phone if the sync is successful.

Nope. it sync's 53 of 82 and dies. I had deleted the sync settings off my phone and then deleted all contacts, so I could start from scratch. -
Inappropriate?Do you think you could check why sometimes in my connections it is telling me my Highrise API key is wrong (I've double checked and it's the one in Highrise)? It seems to change from time to time of whether it says it is wrong or right.

Inappropriate?Another issue I am having is selecting contacts in the Soocial.com interface. I can select a user, but then I can't change selection. I can de-select, but not select someone new without a refresh.1 Comment Add a comment

We did change some things on the webapp, like adding extra fields. But what we did not do yet is redesign the code. We really need to do that, but it is a hell of a job since we need to start from scratch.

I guess you have different pictures for the same contacts on the different devices. After syncing we merge the contact and keep both pics.
But then we try to send the contact back containing both pictures. But your phone and Outlook don't like that and crash.
We will fix that asap.
