SyncML for WinMobile - Funambol?
Is it possible to use a generic SyncML client (like Funambol) on a WinMobile phone? I'll be honest - mobile syncing is the single biggest feature I need from this product, so I'd love to see this happen somehow.

Inappropriate?Hey mr. Lambert,
we have heard from other users that they have been successfully using a SyncML client from Synthesis (a swiss company).
Heres the link: http://www.synthesis.ch/dl_client.php...
The catch is that it costs like 35 bucks.
We'll be working on our own client but it will take a while, as smartphones like Blackberry, iPhone and Android are higher priority atm.
Hope this helps.
I’m confident the above will help

Inappropriate?Ok, so pardon me if I'm beating a dead horse here, but does that mean that you already know you don't work with the Funambol client (which is free)?
Again, sorry if I missed something obvious here. -
Inappropriate?Yeah, sorry should have been clear. To be honest we don't know! It should work, since we're a SyncML compliant server.
We haven't seen anyone confirm that a Funambol client works as well.
Maybe you'll be the first! ;) -
Inappropriate? No such luck. When I try to set up Funambol, it tries to connect to the server and fails. I guess I'll sit tight and wait for the WinMobile client... thanks.

Inappropriate?Make sure the client is set up to use SyncML 1.1. That's currently the only version we support (oh, if I only had more time...). I expect Funambol to do 1.2 by default.
