Synthesis and Soocial not playing well
Great product! I finally took the plunge and attempted to sync my iphone into the mix with Synthesis. Worked fine initially, I blanked my contacts in Soocial (on purpose), and uploaded all contacts from the iphone. Contact photos even worked!
However, then it got funky. Right now, there are no contacts on my iphone, and the only complete set is in Soocial. When I attempt to sync on the iphone, the Synthesis log says there are 0 contacts to sync.
I think this has something to do with the server at Soocial, since periodically all of my Soocial contacts get wiped and I have to restore the backup... So the question: How can I get all those contacts back to the iphone? Can the logs on your end tell me anything?
Sidenote: Contact pictures sync'ed with gmail contacts too. Nice trick!

Inappropriate?I've been messing with it since then. When I replaced my contacts in the iphone with a backup from a few days ago, and then sync'ed, the sync left 289 contacts, deleted 40 and added 30. Soocial has 327. It's inconsistent though, and each time deletes a different couple of contacts.
I'm using the "reset" option in soocial with this connection, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
Let me know what else I can try!

sorry for the hassle. The main problem at the moment is that your contacts contain large pictures. Those pictures have probably been made in your Iphone. The sync sends those fine and we save them in your contacts. But when we send any of them our sync server starts acting up and causes the behavior your have been seeing.
We will have to fix this in our servers. That will take some time. The reason that this has been happening is that the pictures the Iphone sends are way bigger that any other device has been sending so far.
If you want to sync with your Iphone and Soocial the short term solution for you would be to remove the pictures from your contacts. You could do that by resetting the contacts in Soocial or we could remove the pictures from the current contacts in Soocial for you.
Please let us know what you want to do.

Inappropriate?I was starting to think that might be the case. Thank you for the in-depth reply; I think in the long run, I'm hassling you!
The Soocial contacts are the latest and greatest, if you remove the pics from these, I can get my original contact list back to the iphone. (Interestingly, the first sync worked perfectly.)
So in the mean time, it sounds like I shouldn't attach any pics via the iPhone to my contacts if I want it to work. But... couldn't I attach at the Soocial server a smaller photo? I want the communication to be two way, so either no pics, or small pics through Soocial, right?
Let me know what steps I need to take (ie, delete all my contacts off the iphone, then sync.)
