Unable to log in, but am able to use the 'forget password' feature to log in once
Hi,
I've got the invite the other day, followed the link in the email and created my account successfully. After logging out of the site and trying to log back in (just to try all works ok) I found, that my password does not work.
Any ideas what went wrong? Also, the mobile phone just gives me a 'incorrect username/password' message when trying to sync (unsupported country, set my phone manually). ̈ ̈

Inappropriate?Petr, I am trying to reproduce the login error but can't seem to reproduce it. You have probably already tried to resend yourself your password, has that helped at all?

Inappropriate?Well .. things currently work this way for me:
If I re-generate the password using 'forgot password', I'm logged in afterwards. After a log out and subsequent log in, I'm greeted with another 'bad password' screen.
The sync is giving me the same message - invalid username/password. Given I set the phone (Sony Ericsson K750i) correctly, the problem may be in the authentication mechanism. -

Inappropriate?Tried it in Opera 9.50 and Firefox 3.0 just to rule out the possibility of this being browser specific. It is not. Same thing happening to Opera too.

- I cannot log in using the login link
- I can retrieve my password using the "I forgot my password" link
My account has a "+" in it since I use gmail.com for my account. I'm wondering if the "+" is messing up the login code but not the password retrieval code. I'd love to see this addressed so I can use soocial.com.

Inappropriate?I'm having the same issue. If I reset my password, I can login once only - however once I log out, my password no longer works. Where are we at with this issue? There hasn't been any updates on it for a few months..

I am thinking certain characters too. I guess I won't ask you for your password, but can you give us some insight in the kind of characters u are using?

Inappropriate?My email address is quite standard (somethingorother@company.com). My original password was 24 characters long, alphanumeric characters plus some symbols thrown in. After resetting it for the first time, I changed that to seven characters long, alphanumeric only - but still the same problem of either my email address or password (or both) not being recognised when I go to log back in.
I am also getting new user confirmation emails; these seem to come through when I reset my password (although I think on one occasion, such an email wasn't sent). Sometimes the confirmation link works, other times it says an error has occurred, probably due to the fact that I am already a confirmed user. The confirmation link changes from one new user confirmation email to the next.

Inappropriate?I'm still having this problem too. The password reset works and leaves me logged in but if I log out I'm unable to login again. I have the Mac client and gmail connections configured. I'm currently unable to add my mobile as that screen asks for my password which doesn't work!
Any help would be much appreciated. -

Sorry it took so long, but the problem is solved. You will probably have to do a password reset once more. Then you should be able to log in and out like normal people.
