On sync, my sony-ericsson w890i reports : We received a contact ('') we don't understand. What seems to be the trouble? I checked my contacts: no records with empty names.

This error should not happen after we implement a fix next week. If you want it to be solved before that you can send you user name to support (at soocial dot com) and we can tell you what contact is causing this. The error message is not intelligent enough to tell you.

Inappropriate?Ok, is the bug fixed yet? It's been 2 months, and I can't sync my SE k800i due to the same message. It hangs after 19 out of 300+ contacts.

Inappropriate?I made a backup of my contacts on mthe computer and got rid of all the address fields in the contacts. That seems to solve the issue. Only thing is that you don't have addresses anymore...

Inappropriate?We have done quite some work on this. But it was bigger than we thought. We were hoping a few quickfixes would solve it. But that was not the case. We are building a proper Vcard version 2.1 <> 3.0 translation software.

Inappropriate?I've got the same problem on my Nokia N95 8GB, although it seems to display only part of the error message. It was after some extensive searching that I found this thread and realised that the message I got was (is) incomplete. All I get is ') we don't understand. Sorry we could not add it to your soocial contacts. It displays this message immediately after logging in, with the first contact to be synchronized.
I've got a brand new phone and a backup of all my contacts on my old phone, so if I can help you in any way with any testing, I would be happy to help.

Inappropriate?After reading some other threads suggesting that I should delete the pictures from my contacts, I did exactly that. Guess what? I works flawlessly now!
