why dont deleted addresses go away forever
I have deleted a number of addresses in Mac address book, and the keep coming back when I synch to Social. I have not edited them anywhere else

That is wierd behavior. Not hassle free. It almost looks like you keep slow syncing. That would cause the removed contacts to be put back.
