I think the first song on my page is getting the most listens because, well it's at the top of the list. Problem is that it's not the song I want people to listen to first (I'd actually like that song last!). Do I really have to delete them and re-upload them in reverse order to how I want them to display?
i swear to god i'm deleting my account and not recommending this site unless you people commit to a feature that allows users to block / delete spam-followers. by now you must fully realize, these people are trying to promote themselves. and i DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR MUSIC.
i understand you want people to be able to non-intrusively follow other users, so if you are dead set on such a feature, i recommend that you allow it with NO NOTIFICATION to the user being followed, and that will drop the incentive for spammer-self-promoters for actually doing so.
I get too many tracks in my label dropbox; why does public tracks get in there? I doubt that I've received so many tracks. As it is now, the ones that I really received get lost.
Another thing: can people send me their tracks without registering on soundcloud ?
Two things about timed comments - it's hard to place a comment next to, but not on top of another, so maybe there should be an option to easily turn off others comments or filter comments by user (if there is one I missed it because I'm foolish). Secondly, comments should not pop up as the track is playing WHILE you're writing a comment yourself - they get in the way of what you're typing.
Hi everybody,
I'd like to get an MP3 HTML player that can regroup a few tracks I love on SoundCloud, you know, a bit like the "Deezer" or "Last.fm" player system. But all I can do is to make a player with only 1 track. Bad thing.
So, could you tell me how I can do to do what i want too ?
Thanks for bringing me help.
I think it would be a good idea to have some sort of button in the 'Favourites' page, which would play all your favourites as a playlist, and a 'random' feature would be cool on the page too
I need a way, somehow, to be able to embed a set widget in an email. Not for spam purposes or anything.
I just work with a lot of rappers. Most are dense. The arena is competitive... they want to hear the beats immediately or they will just record on whatever is right there.
I'd like an upload option for replacing an older song with a new version. So, that comments and plays remain but users can still note what has changed in the new version. Or more specifically in my case, so that you don't have to delete and reupload everytime you make a minor EQ adjust or something.
You could even include with this an option for removing all the user comments, but versioning them to the previous track. So, that you and other users can see the evolution of the track over time, and make notes on what to change for future versions, and will make comments better organized if you happen to change entire sections of the song, for instance.
the extra fields section when you upload a track has things like 'genre' 'bpm' 'record label' but it's missing a couple of obvious ones, eg 'artist name' and 'album name'
I mean I know this site is mostly just DJs at the moment but even they must often want to attribute a track to someone other than their SC username?
I just need to download something that i lost on my harddrive.
There is an option to allow others to download my stuff,
but is there a way i can also do that?
I'd like to know if the mp3 conversion can't be 160kbps, or at least a better version of 128kbps: because when my 24bits files get converted, they sound sometimes very raspy: especially when I convert silent mood music made with orchestral sound, the strings sound really messy and basicly all midtones.
how do i embed a shared file in a wordpress blog ? copy pasting the share code into the html source editor of the blog post doesnt seem to do the trick ?
I would like to see a batch upload feature like last.fm has. They allow you to upload a zip file containing several tracks, and then their uploader decompresses the zip file and parses the files. Then, you can batch edit the track meta data.
is there a problem with uploading 24-bit 44khz .WAV's ? - Im trying to upload a 6.30min/100MB WAV and the upload completes but then hangs at the 'almost done saving your track' bit - any help is much appreciated
So, I heard about a bug where if you upload a track and then reupload with an improved version, the previous version stays intact regardless if you deleted it and replaced it with the new one. Anyways, I decided to try this. I deleted one of my tracks and replaced it with a few seconds of nothing and renamed it to the song I deleted. Then, I deleted the dead space track and re-uploaded the song. What it did was interesting. It updated the waveform with my actual track, but when I played it, it played the dead space track. Is there a fix in the works?
