display entire twitter post without truncating it
Hi soup.io folks-- for displaying items from Twitter, it would be great if you could display the entire post even when it is longer than 140 characters. Example post that has the complete text displayed on the web but is truncated when presented on soup: http://twitter.com/gac/statuses/78614...

Inappropriate?Unfortunately, the Twitter feed itself truncates status messages; to get the complete message, we'd have to screen-scrape the tweet's permalink page which is likely to break with every minor update of twitter. We'll ask Twitter to give us full text feeds - maybe they'll listen (-:
For the case that they don't, we are currently evaluating a pretty neat alternative solution, but we can not yet say how soon this is going to be done (nor whether it will actually fix the problem).
To sum up, we're aware of this, but there's nothing good we can do to fix it right now.
I’m confident this will get fixed, one way or the other

Inappropriate? This problem should be fixed, we are now using GNIP for realtime Twitter updates.
These updates should contain the full data of each tweet.
I’m confident
