Make Soup.io the best miniblogging platform

First I'd like to say that I really like Soup.io. It could well just be the perfect miniblogging platform for me: just enough powerful, and really really simple.

Still, I'm not so sure it is developing in the right direction. Let me explain. For me, lifestreaming is useless, it's only use is serving people's vanity. (I mean, who is going to follow that stuff? You either have to have fans who want to follow your every click, or you really have to be obsessed with yourself.) Furthermore, implementing imports of every-day-even-more services with ever changing APIs must be a nightmare. I think this is a battle Soup.io cannot win.

I propose another direction. Drop import support (OK maybe keep the essential ones working) and focus on the miniblogging. That means comments, tags, SEO, traffic stats, more and better designs, etc.

That would give Soup.io a chance to become the best miniblogging platform in existence. And I would really like to see it happen.
