soup-Bookmarklet + NoScript = Trouble
Since a few days I use the NoScript-add on for Firefox. Today I cannot use the soup-Bookmarklet on some sites.
On some site which are trusted (like soup.io, my custom soup-domain) the bookmarklet works.
On other site like soiegel.de, even if I set it to trusted, the bookmarklet gives an error.
On untristed site the pop-up of the bookmarklet remains blank.

Inappropriate?Ouch, I'm seeing problems with the bookmarklet and noscript, too. Are you testing with the new or the old version of the bookmarklet, by the way? We recently fixed the problems on sites like spiegel.de. If you are using the new bookmarklet, on which pages do you see the error message?
You still have to mark sites as (temporarily) trusted to make any more complex bookmarklet work on them with noscript (not only the soup one, but also evernote and others), unfortunately.
I’m unsatisfied with this situation

I think I use the new bookmarklet. On spiegel.de I get the error-messages even if I set full trust (not even temporary). -
Inappropriate?using the soup.io bookmarklet in combination with noscript does work, if one "unblocks" the main page where the content is posted from.
otherwise, noscript blocks the bookmarklet.
long time ago (internet wise ;) ) it was possible to re-activeate the bookmarklet by defining an Anti-XSS Exception like:
^https?://([a-z0-9]*)\.?soup.io/?
this does not work anymore. -
I also use this work around. But it is no solution, cause it penetrates the security of NoScript. -
Inappropriate?Unfortunately we really can't do anything to fix this, NoScript is just causing random failures for us here. We tried debugging it, and apart from disabling NoScript completely, there is no solution.
I've heard that people are using the Shareaholic plugin to post things, maybe this provides a viable alternative.
Unfortunately demand for a seperate Firefox extension is not high enough to justify focusing our scarce resources on this.
In case someone wants to write a Firefox extension to do this, we'll be more than willing to provide help & details into the inner workings of the bookmarklet.
I’m not liking the "Not a problem" status for this, but there is no better choice available.

Inappropriate?for the record: the soup.io bookmarklet in its current version is working for me with noscript 1.9.9.14.
i have an xss exception for: ^https?://(.*\.)?soup\.io
as been working for me since a couple of days/weeks and several noscript updates!
I’m happy that it works!
