Twitter not working anymore with Soup?
My twitter account seems to have stopped updating to my Soup. I was wondering if it was a bug? Thanks!

Just as an update on this one (it's been a while), we haven't heard back from Twitter, but there is another provider that can give us real-time updates from Twitter and a few other feeds with which we've had the same problem.
We'll integrate their service into our feed import scheme over the two next weeks.
I’m happy that there's an alternative solution available

Inappropriate?Hi there! At the moment, our twitter import is working. We restarted it earlier for upgrades this afternoon, but it's been running since, and is importing tweets.
Could you tell me your soup's name, so that I can look up what's holding up updates for you?
I’m curious

Inappropriate?Thank you for the quick response!
My Soup name is Chantal and my Twitter account is Lavendertattoo.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? It's working again – must have just been some random Twitter hiccup.

Inappropriate?pfff Twitter must buy new server :-P,...
In my admin Panel Twitter is going red and new feed doen't appears...
I’m confused

Inappropriate? We are indeed having troubles getting the Twitter feed imports done before we hit the rate limit. Right now, there are about 2500 feeds, and we are allowed to query about 1.2 times every minute, that means we're allowed to get updates for each user less than once every 1.5 days. Ouch.
We did put in place some optimizations for querying twitter feeds, but they're still not good enough - they result in the errors you report. To get this resolved, I've contacted them and we are trying to work out a solution that works for all of us; I'll give you updates here.
I’m hopeful that we'll work something out

Inappropriate?Marking this as solved.
We now have a good cooperation with GNIP going, and Twitter also disabled their rate limiting for us.
We do regular fallback feed imports in case the realtime import via GNIP does not work.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I have the same problem which is reported here, that the twitter-import does not work any more. And I cannot delete the import-task because the recycle-bin-icon is not there any more.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?fdq: Sorry for that, there was a programing error that prevented the progress of feeds from updating when there was an http error. I've updated the feed manually now (it no longer shows an error, but you can also delete it if you want).
We'll put the fix for the core problem online in about two or three hours.
I’m grateful for the report

Hi Andreas, I have the bad feeling that none of my imports work now (or since your fix yesterday). There must be definitely new items in my http://www.flickr.com/photos/agreiner... but after clicking on the refresh-button they are not loaded into my soup. -
Augh. Flickr favourites are a bit tricky: The photos are put into your stream on the date they were taken, not when they were marked favourites: If you look at http://fdq.soup.io/?date=2009-02-02, your most recent flickr favourites are in there. -
Ok, I understand. This would be a nice feature request: import the items when they were marked as favourites (I think the same works for Google Reader Shared Items).
The problem with my twitter-import is still there... :(
