How about enabling the creation of new cards via email?

An obvious way to do this would be have the subject of the email become the question and the email itself become the header.

Each account could have there own email address (comprising their username and some randomly generated suffix) to which they could email cards to learn.

This is similar to the idea of being able to create to-do list items while on the go (i.e. rememberthemilk, JOTT etc).

That way, if you found yourself wanting to learn something while out and about, you could quickly email spicyelephant and know that it would be automatically scheduled into your learning curriculum.

Issues you'd need to consider is to which deck these cards would be attributed. You might have a unique deck for emailed items.

Pragmatically, however, I don't think it really matters since, presumably, you'd want to learn all cards equally otherwise they wouldn't exist in the first place.
