Under Leopard using Spaces, the current space frequently switches to SpiderOak's for no good reason.
If I use a keyboard shortcut to move into and then out of the "space" that SpiderOak is open on while it's "building", about a second later, I get switched back to the space. This generally only happens if I move across quickly.
If I were to guess, I'd say that SpiderOak sees that it's gotten focus (by me switching to the space), but it's busy (pinwheel-cursor busy) building. Once it gets done building, it says "Aha, I have focus, pay attention to me," causing OS X to switch back to that space, but by then I've moved on to another space.
My workaround is to wait for my mouse cursor to stop being a pinwheel (as SpiderOak moves on to the next file to build) and switch spaces right then.
