Is Putting Your Professional Email Address on Spock Safe?
Apparently, once you put an email address on Spock, its system - for some reason in this day and age - does not permit you to remove an email address. (Of all the sites I've experienced on the Internet in the past 14 years, Spock is the first - AND ONLY - site I've ever heard of that once you join, YOU CAN'T REMOVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT. Not very smart, in my opinion.)
So, if I cant' remove an Email address from Spock, is my Spock account safe? Is *your) account safe?
My question is in light of this from the Spock site: "If you add an email that does not belong to you, the owner of that email address can request your Spock password and take control of your Spock account."
If an old email address no longer belongs to me but, rather, belongs to the former company, the former company can access my Spock account via the former email address.

Inappropriate?Spock is very much safe and your e-mail addresses and information on Spock are safe
Because you are the only one who can add content to your search result, the scenario you are bringing up is not an issue.
Assuming someone were to add an e-mail address that's not there's and then requested a new password, they would still have to log into said e-mail to access the new password.
We also don't allow the same address on the site more than once. Adding additional e-mails (that are yours) is actually advantageous
1) It enables you to be searched by more than one e-mail
2) It ensures that you won't end up with multiple search results and won't get invited to join Spock more than once
3) You only receive e-mail at your primary account. -
Very good, detailed response. I appreciate it. However, let me be more specific about my issue; Let's say that I was a marketing consultant for a small company and that small company provided me an email address for marketing campaigns. I add that email address to my Spock account. My professional relationship with that client company ends. I can not remove from my account the email address I once used for my former client. ****IF*** the client still has that email address and ***IF*** the client knows that I added that email address to my Spock account THEN that former client has the same MEANS OF ACCESS to my Spock account as I do. Is the above scenario correct? If so, then my data isn't safe. My Spock account is no longer safe for me to use, correct?
Keep STRONG!

Inappropriate?Instead of using tortured logic, just put a delete button by the email addresses.
I'm a web developer, trust me, it's not difficult.

I'm not sure what Spock's issue is with providing its users with a simple delete button but, I agree with you ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. It's beyond annoying to come upon that rare, rare, rarest of sites which will not permit its members from deleting an email address from their own accounts. Further to that, let's say that I wanted to delete me Spock account and start over with a fresh one - one where I can completely control all email addresses associated with my name: there is no way that I can see where I can delete my account. I may be wrong but, something is fishy here... And I don't like that type of feeling... I would have happily referred my network to Spock but, now, that's IMPOSSIBLE...
