how can i edit the "today" part in the calendar? i already changed my timezone settings but there seems to be no change at all

My problem is on my calendar it shows that the date today is a day before today in our country. I live in the Philippines w/c has a +8:00 GMT. If you see my calendar "today" is a Monday but in fact, today is Tuesday here.. Can you help me with that? I'm really hoping for your kind reply on this. Thank you very much. :)
