Spongecell integration into my website
Grateful for any help!
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate? You can do a few things to data and elements into your domain:
1. API - as you mentioned (http://spongecell.com/api/help_
2. Widgets - we have calendar widgets and event list view widgets that you can embed into you site pages
3. You can control the "event page URL" - example: if you don't want the event page to be spongecell.com/eventview/123456, you can change it to http:mycompany.com/event. You can control this from the event page editor.
4. You can try to <iframe> the existing event page</iframe> -
Inappropriate? Thanks for your reply Mr Sponge! In terms of displaying the event list on my website, the widgets work great. If I want users to be able to actually create an event from within my website, do I then need to use the API? I fear the worst here as I've never used Ruby or cUrl before!

Inappropriate?Correct, if you want to have a module that allows an end user to create an event, this will have to be custom developed on our API.
However, don't be fearful - this doesn't have to be done with Ruby. We've had customers do simple implementations with Flash, ASP.net, JSP, PHP, and event simple HTML/JavaScript.
