"Artist not found" message, but albums are playable. Why?

Today I've had a problem that I never experienced on spotify before. Several times, when I click on the name of an artist in the "similar artists" list. I get the error "arist not found", even if it is an artist I know have been on spotify before. I had some of these artists in playlists, and could play their music and even the full album, but it was impossible to see the artist-listing. All showed "Artist not found". The bands this happened to were several, but including Beat Happening, Silver Jews, Pelle Carlberg, Acid House Kings, [ingenting].

Why is suddenly an "Artist not found"? Are labels starting to delete their catalogs here?
