Always offline running on Wine
Hi, today Spotify seems unable to connect when running on Wine (on an Ubuntu system). This is the first time I see this problem. Two friends are experiencing the same while a third (who uses Windows) says the program runs fine for him. Maybe an update broke something?

Inappropriate?Same problem here, using Ubuntu too, but I haven't tested in other platform.
Two computers, different accounts, using wine, same problem.
The logging stage is successful, but later Spotify keeps in offline
status with the message:
"Unable to connect to Spotify. Trying to connect..." -
Inappropriate? Here one more, I'm using Gentoo, and the output when trying to connect is this:
fixme:ntdll:NtQueryInformationProcess (process=0xffffffff) Unimplemented information class: ProcessDebugFlags -
Inappropriate?Works like a charm in Windows, same account same computer.
Wine / linux version problem. -
Inappropriate?ah ... same Spotify version: 0.3.20
Seems like the last Spotify update caused this problem. -
Inappropriate?I have pretty much the exact same problem. Except it's version 0.3.20 on Mac OSX 10.5.8. But my Spotify account works on my Mac at work...
I’m sad

Inappropriate? This affects every Linux user on the current branch of Wine. As of the moment there is a temporary solution: keep logging in and out and eventually it works. I will submit a bug report to wine. This affects: Ubuntu and OpenSUSE for me. It seems to be a problem with 'offline mode' on the latest version of Spotify.
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate?Same problem spotify version 0.3.20 runnin under wine 1.1.30 on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? Not working with the wine installed on Ubuntu 9.04 here either... however with Ubuntu 8.10 and the older wine version there Spotify is still working.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Same thing here. Ubuntu 9.04, Wine: wine-1.0.1. Spotify version: the one with the "offline" on the bottom right hand corner.
Logging in and out does not work for me as I tried a different password and now all I get is the green spotify box saying "logging in..." forever!

Inappropriate?Same thing here. Ubuntu 9.04, Wine 1.0.1, Spotify 0.3.20. Any fix yet?

Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem on Fedora 11 using wine 1.1.29. It used to work like a charm.
If I remove my .wine dir and reinstall spotify I cannot log in to the account at all. It just keeps trying forever. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem, but I find it does connect eventually. If you start Spotify and it says it cannot connect, leave it running for around five minutes. Check back, and it should be online. Not ideal, but seems to work.

Inappropriate?Same problem here :) Doesn't matter which linux dist i'm using. It works after a while if you've got the patience to log in and out like 10 times or so though.
I’m sad.

Inappropriate?Yes, it is working for me after the upgrade. Funny thing though the upgrade brought up an error dialog, but when I clicked Retry it worked?
I’m looking forward to a Linux client!
