Audio stutters with Spotify window visible on screen.
For me audio output stutters when the Spotify window is visible. This has recently started so probably with some update.
Problem is VERY noticable and the music will slow down and stutter alot. Happens ONLY when spotify is visible. If i minimize it the problem completly dissapear. Problem also seem to reduce a little if i make the spotify window very small. Maximizing spotify songs runs at around 70% speed and with big audio degradation.
Windows 7 32bit enterprise on a month old Dell Optiplex 360 with ADI 180x HD integrated sound card with vanilla drivers (comes with Windows 7)
Running a dual screen setup and the audio degradation happens on both screens. Minimized is the only way it works now.

Inappropriate?When exactly did this start? We haven't release an update in awhile now so it would be unlikely if it just started.
What else are you running on your machine, anything that could be taking up a lot of bandwidth or processor power? -
Inappropriate?I have the exact same issue. Started about 2 weeks ago. When I have the spotify Window visible the CPU got a avarage workload of 50% :(
Can it be something with the lates Windows Update?
I also got a DELL laptop (Latitude E6400 with Vista 32 bit)...
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I did a test yesterday to uninstall all Windows related patches from the last Microsoft patch tuesday (8/9).
Here are the KB articel numbers.
* KB971961
* KB967723
* KB970710
* KB968816
* KB974331
* KB972036
After I did that the shuttering was gone!!!!
Now I did see that the updates was automatic installed during the night, will come back if the shuttering starts again, but until now it looks promising.
Hope that can help You to.
Best regards

Good to hear the updates helped. -
Inappropriate?I still have the problem and it seems that Spotify takes alot of CPU when this happens. It affects other sound outputs too when this happens... Minimizing Spotify helps still.

Inappropriate?I have this issue also, Per is there any chance you can see if the KB hot fixes were all re-installed?

Inappropriate?I have this issue with 2 of my pcs running xp, other pcs in the house are fine (so far) I think it is related to the pre buffer, as if you pause the track then set it back to the begining it plays back fine, ....until the next track.
