Better spotify HTTP links for better facebook integration.
I would like better HTTP link pages from spotify, so that the name of the Artist/Album/Title shows up in the link, as well as the album image. This would make integration with facebook via facebook links actually look nice, and would catch peoples attention alot more that just the generic spotify logo and the "spotify resource" name that's displayed now. If this is implemented it would probably boost facebook linking to spotify music tremendously. See an example of what I mean in the attached images below: Compare how the link looks today, with how it could look...

It's a great idea. Right now Facebook takes default meta tags from our site but if we customized the HTTP links for each track/album we should be able to do what you suggest. Thanks for sharing.

Just checked progress on this by sharing a song from inside the spotify app, and something has happened. I'm not sure when this was changed, but now instead of the "Spotify Resource" crap you actually get the name of the Artist and song. Go spotify! =)
Just the album cover picture to go now... still hoping.

Inappropriate? This is a good idea, and would definitely spread Spotify more, as people would click the posted item, and then possibly get spotify, whereas the currently, no-one's gonna click 'spotify resource'

Inappropriate? Is anything happening regarding this on the Spotify side? I've noticed that there's been a sharing button for adding facebook links directly inside spotify for some time now, but we still only get the incredibly boring and off-putting "Spotify Resource" link as the facebook link.
Would be very grateful for an update on this from a company rep. Are you still considering or have you scrapped the idea? -
Inappropriate?I'm also wondering what's going on with this. I mean, how hard can it be to add a few database lookups to the code that already generates the HTML page? :) (Perhaps quite hard, but it seems like a fairly trivial problem to IT-savvy outsiders, and the lack of communication from Spotify HQ isn't helping...)
In the meantime, things seem to have actually gotten worse, coz now if you select 'Copy HTTP Link' in the client, you get some extra text in front of the URL, which means you can't copy and paste it directly into certain places - you have to go into a text editor and strip out the text first. -
