Can't log on error 117
I can't log in to spotify on my lap top i keep getting error 117 and asking about proxy settings. I am using my home computer so i am not using a proxy server i have also disabled my firewalls but i still can't log on.

Inappropriate?The error logs still show that some sort of firewall still blocking Spotify. Make sure that all firewall and anti-virus software allow Spotify through and that the Windows firewall also has an exception for Spotify.

Inappropriate?I am not a firewall/proxy/ports expert. I use Win XP and Zone Alarm. I think I may have fixed this problem by trying two things...
firstly, I set spotify to use "no proxy" rather than autodetect (under preferences). This seemed to work for a little while- then it started to generate error 117 again.
secondly, I went into "Program Control" in Zone Alarm, right clicked on the spotify entry and ticked the setting "changes frequently".
I was doing all this pretty randomly but spotify then logged on and started playing music again.
Posting this so that others can try it- may lead us a bit closer to the answer.
But isn't it time that spotify staff sorted this one out?!?!?
