Constant clipping/Poor quality playback
Anything and everything I listen to has clipping/choppy sound/'crackly' sound throughout. It is particularly noticeable when drums are playing. I have Windows XP, a Realtek onboard sound system and a Creative 2.1 speaker setup connected with a normal minijack. I also noticed the adverts have poor quality sound so it can't be a problem with the rip.
I would say this is frustrating, but I think you guys have worked really hard to produce this so I'll be patient.
Thanks

Inappropriate?Have you always had this problem or it just recently started?
-
Inappropriate?Okay ignore it. There was a old problem with my soundcard which just resurrected itself. I tweaked my master volume levels and now it works perfect. Thanks anyway.

Great to hear it's working now, enjoy! -
Inappropriate?I don't know, I just installed Windows 7 RC1 and YouTube plays audio perfectly fine. Spotify's crackling all over the place.
I'll try to restart it and see what happens, but while I'm used to nails on a chalkboard, this bothers the hell out of me.
I’m suffering from migranes.

Inappropriate?is there a port that needs opening on the router firewall? its very annoying song starts to play then pauses then plays its like listening to radio Luxenbourg!!

Inappropriate?Spotify's volume control is crap and having it at full will cause it to over-amplify the music causing everything to clip and sound horrible. Leave it at the middle mark and adjust volume via the windows master control instead.

You seem to be the only person with that problem... Disable normalization and you will be fine. -
Why would I even have that on? Geez, I'm not a sadist. -
Inappropriate?I have the same program. Lots of background noise and disturbances in the playback. Seems to occur when computer has been running for a while. A reboot usually helps. I will try to reinstall Spotify.
I’m frustrated
