Inappropriate? This is actually a problem in Apple Mail itself - we just hand it data like we do to all other applications. If you're curious and would like to verify this yourself, just install the Mac OS X developer tools and you'll get a copy of 'Clipboard Viewer' - use that to see that the data Spotify writes is in the correct format.

Not really. All that's copied to the Clipboard is the album title. No http, no uri. Am I missing something? -
Inappropriate?I think the problem lies in that the copied link is a formatted hyperlink (as HTML code). It shows the album title, but clicking on it should open up Spotify or a browser.
To remove the formatting, go to Notepad on the PC or TextEdit on the Mac, paste the link, then select it and copy it again. Now it should just be the link without the name.
