Get Spotify play another audio device than the default one
I'm using USB headphones when Im using the comp for the most part and it works perfect. Have that as default so most of the sounds travel that way. The thing is that I also have a Soundblster X-FI which im using to play music on my speaker system, So for an expample i have configured WinAmp to play its sound to my Soundblaster instead of the default card (USB headphones). But because Spotify doesnt have any options to choose which audio device you should use, is there another way to make Spotify play on my Soundblaster instead of the default device? Or is this an option that is planned for later versions ?

Inappropriate?Kinda in the same situation here.
Usually using "normal" earphones when only listening to music, but when I use my microphone I use my wireless headset. Just like Brajg stated, Spotify doesn't seem to have any option to change which audio output to use, and so Spotify will still prefer Default Audio Device prio to the wireless headphones.
This is probably easily solved in my case by changing the setting in windows though, haven't tried that.

Inappropriate? For Windows, there's an easy workaround.
Programs will use whatever device is in use when the program starts.
This holds true for pretty much every Windows release out there.
Of course, being able to choose output device à la Skype is the proper solution, but hopefully the workaround is a good enough interim solution.

It looks like Spotify actually picks up the default device every track, so you have to leave it set to your headphones (or whatever) for the whole time you're using Spotify. :-( -
Inappropriate? On linux pulse audio lets you choose what channel plays on what device.

Inappropriate?Type in "spotify:config2" (Without the quote) and you should be able to change it.

Is this something that have been implemented just now or have it always been there ? Anyhow it works like a charm :) Thanks alot...
