how can I search for e g classical music

I mostly listen to classical music, and Spotify is a goldmine for that kind of music. But you can't just do a search for a genre like "classical" or "pop". Instead you have to do a search using artist or composer or name of album and go on from there. This way of doing searches has introduced me to lots of new music I hadn't heard before.

An example: Type in "Haydn" in the search bar. You get a long, long list of tracks sorted by name, artist, album etc. Clicking on a track recorded by "Berliner Philharmoniker" brings up a new window with lots of complete albums recorded by Berliner Philharmoniker. Look through the albums and select anyone to listen to, for example Haydn's Symphony 88. Or, choose another album and try out another composer, like one of my favorites Olivier Messiaen, also recorded by Berliner Philharmoniker. Anything you find, you can save to a playlist ot listen to later.

After doing a search you will see a short list of both artists and albums at the top of the window that match your search. You can also continue this way by clicking directly on one of them and seeing where it takes you.

By searaching this way you find a whole new world of classical music. If you just want a specific work, then do a search on that by for example writing "Haydn 88" in the search bar. Then you get several different recordings of that work.

Remember, you can save anything in a playlist for listening to later.
