So surely if you get them so easily on Google it makes no difference whether they have one or not??

the payload is not the only reason,
invites also serves the current buzz around spotify...
you always want what you don't have...especially for "geeks" :)
in some way it boost the premium account inscriptions
so, let them seek their invites on the net... they will "eventually" find the link themselves or an invite... participating in the buzz around spotify by posting for invites on each and every social network they know ;)

I agree that Spotify will get more promotion if you are invited :)

To be honest if Spotify are so bothered they should stop people doing signing up without an invite token using the link above.
