Inappropriate?Yes, a "HQ icon" is really missing for 320 kbps tracks in the client now!
As i wrote in the blog comment already:
"I would definitely consider becoming a premium user if i could see how much of the music i mostly listening to is in HQ quality and how much is not.
So a HQ icon would be a great marketing feature for Spotify Premium!!!"
I’m confident

Inappropriate? We hope to have all tracks in 320 kbps soon enough so then there will be no need an icon, everything will be HQ.
-
But you told us that this will last "weeks" or "months" until it's finished for all tracks. That's why i would not jump on the Premium band wagon until i know how much of my music will be available in HQ and i think, others would do so also. As i said: you could use it as a "marketing feature" to get more Premium subscribers in shorter time...but ok, it's Spotify's descision! -
Inappropriate?Really looking forward to the upgrade in quality!! I listen mostly to classical music and the recordings often sound flat through my high-end Meridian/B&W system due to the anorectic compression.
-
Are you premium now? If so, have you tried listening to some of the new 320 kbps tracks? Always interesting to see how others enjoy it. Personally I'm very happy with the sound. -
Just find some popular tracks. Make a search for "year:0-9999" and most tracks at the top should be 320 kbs/s since they are sorted by popularity. -
Inappropriate?Yes but still, how do I know that it's actually 320? Would be reassuring to see at least some pointer to that..
-
If you can't tell it's 320 by listening to it does it make a difference whether it says it's 320 or not? Not sure I can tell the difference with my setup. -
Inappropriate?I see your point, still it would not be so freaking much to ask for I think to mark the HQ tracks in some way..
-
Inappropriate? How's it going with the conversions? I'm getting a dac and it would be nice to know how much is left to become 320..
I’m undecided
