I can't log in. I get a message saying that a firewall may be blocking my internet connection (error 117), but I don't think it is.

Inappropriate?Do you have any sort of firewall or anti-virus program on your computer that may be blocking Spotify? Windows firewall or maybe built-into your router?

I noticed yesterday that even if I turned off the firewall in F-secure the message (error 117) still pops up and I cannot log in to Spotify. I have the windows firewall inactive. Would you say the problem is in the routers firewall? Can I not have a firewall active there? How would you recomend me to solve the problem? -
I have no antivirus and have turned the firewall off and it still wont work! :( -

It says that a spotify file may med damaged...or something. When I deactivate that firewall I can play Spotify...but I want to have it active. -
If deactivating the firewall works then it's clearly the problem. You should be able to set your firewall so that it allows Spotify full access to the internet, then you can use Spotify and the firewall at the same time. -
Inappropriate?I've just gone into Windows Firewall from my control panel and it looks as thought this is turned off. So can't be that. Anything else I can check?

the message it says and dont get

Inappropriate?exactly the same here; error 110 though. It has been working fine for a long time and this happened after I connected my computer to another internet connection, and then took it back to the previous one. Same settings n everything. any suggestions to solutions please?

uninstall spotify and re-instal it. Thats for people that had it working before but if its stoped working now do that.
If you just downloaded it and its not working
check out your firewall by going in to control panel and adding spotify in the trusted apps.
if this does not work come back and we will work it out with each other

My idea also but still no joy after re-installing :( now saying password error?? never had any problems before. not changed any settings either....?? any other ideas? -
Inappropriate?I can't log in either. I have uninstalled, re-installed several times. I have turned off firewall, and I have no anti virus program with a firewall. It worked yesterday... I don't get it. Makes me frustrated. I'm a premium customer, but I just resigned from that. What's the point in paying for something that doesn't work???
