Import iTunes Library file
Import the itunes library into spotify(like a playlist) and then sync the file. so you can play the music you have in itunes wherever you want. It would be possible cause the itunes library file listen to a .xml file.

Inappropriate?@ Mel & Sian, you can't save the songs you listen to on Spotify, unless you purchase the song with a service like 7digital.com (right click on the song you want, and go to Buy Song.
Alternatively, you can use a tool such as Audacity to capture to audio as you play it, then export that to an mp3 file, but for anything more than a few songs, it would be a very labourious process. -
Inappropriate?This would be good, as it wouldn't 'bog down' spotify as it wouldn't need to index your music - itunes would do that for you.

A friend of mine says the current mac version of spotify causes his itunes to respond. If you run a tcpdump you can verify if that is happening.
As spotify is to launch the ability to add music from your local hard disk, this seems like a logical progression -
Inappropriate?Although it's great to be able to occasionally export your iTunes music to Spotify, what I'd really like to see is Spotify accessing my iTunes folder directly & including it (as seamlessly as possible) in the playlists.
Spotify can already 'see' the music purchased via Spotify itself, e.g..
C:\Documents and Settings\User1\My Documents\My Music\Spotify\myspotifyuser
...so why not have an extra option on preferences to have a look in the iTunes folder for non-DRMed music, e.g..
C:\Documents and Settings\User1\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
